Chart of accounts

 

The window menu is divided into five button groups:

Search – this button is available in the chart of accounts window. It enables quick searching for accounts. There are two fields available for searching an account. It can be searched by number or name. After entering the number or name, the system automatically highlights the searched account on the list  

Current Accounting Period – shows the name of the current accounting period for which the chart of accounts is displayed

Filter - unhides/hides the filter. This option enables quick searching for accounts on the list. In Comarch ALTUM, the accounts can be filtered by accounts, account type, account level, range of accounts, directory accounts

                 

ALTUM image001 Chart of accounts       The Accounts option shows or hides the accounts which contain an expression typed in the field. If the parameter: Excluding is checked, then entering the expression will hide the accounts containing the specified expression.

        

ALTUM image025 Chart of accountsNote: A sequence of characters entered in the Accounts field is considered by the system as an entire expression and not as particular digits or letters.

 

ALTUM image001 Chart of accounts      Range of accounts - the user may strictly specify a range of numbers according to which the accounts must be filtered. This is specified in the From  Account and To Account fields.

 

Clicking on the button [From Account] or [To Account] opens the window Chart of Accounts. An account is selected by double clicking on it with the left mouse button. After selecting the account, the user automatically returns to the Chart of Accounts window with opened filter panel. The selected number of account will be displayed in field: From Account or To Account

 

ALTUM image001 Chart of accounts      Level -  levels by which the accounts must be filtered: All (that is the list without limits), 1 (accounts with number of the level 1), 2 (the system shows the accounts with number of levels 1 and 2) etc., 5 – the lowest level (it shows the accounts from number 1 to 5). By selecting the All option, it will be possible to filter all accounts on all levels.

ALTUM image001 Chart of accounts      Include directory accounts – if checked, the system will include directory accounts while filtering. If unchecked, the system will not include the directory accounts 

 

The user may also filter the chart of accounts by building individual filters using the filter builder – for more information about the filter builder see the manual Getting started with Comarch ALTUM.
