Other buttons in the chart of accounts menu
Trial Balance – to calculate the trial balance for an account, select the account with the left mouse button. The account will be automatically highlighted. Then click [Trial Balance]. The trial balance for the selected account will be displayed

Calculations can be performed for selected accounting period, partial period, or particular date. Draft entries can also be included.
To view the trial balance, click the [Calculate] button. The system will automatically calculate the trial balance for the selected account.
Journal Entries – to review journal entries of an account, select the account with the left mouse button. The account will be automatically highlighted. Then click [Journal Entries]. A window with journal entries for selected account will be opened
Import - allows the user to import the chart of accounts from any XML and XLS file. Import is not assigned with the accounting period. Such file with the chart of accounts can be used in different accounting periods. To import the file, click [Import]. A window with files saved in the system will be opened

Select file with the chart of accounts you want to import. Then click [Open]. Selected chart of accounts will be displayed in the chart of account window
Note: The system blocks the possibility of importing the chart of accounts if the chart of accounts already exists in the system and posting of journal entries on those accounts is in progress.
The system does not import already existing accounts and their child accounts. It displays the message ‘Failed to import some of the accounts because they already exist on the chart of accounts.’
Import of the chart of accounts is not connected with any accounting period.
Export - allows the user to export the chart of accounts to any XML and XLS file. Export is not connected with any accounting period. To export the chart of accounts, it must first be defined in the system. Then click the button [Export]. A window with files, the defined chart of accounts can be saved to, will be opened. It is possible to create a new file in which the chart of accounts will be saved

Upon selecting or creating an appropriate file, click [Save]. The chart of accounts will be exported to the selected file.
The system does not export the directory and currency accounts. If such accounts exist on the chart of accounts, the following message will be displayed: ‘The chart of accounts contains directory accounts which will not be exported. Do you want to continue?’ or ‘The chart of accounts contains currency accounts which will not be exported. Do you want to continue?’.
Chart of Accounts Wizard – this tool has been designed in order to facilitate the user’s work. The purpose of this tool is to create a set of accounts which are saved hierarchically. It also allows the user to export the chart of accounts to a file in the same hierarchical structure and to import it from the file directly to the Comarch ALTUM system. Chart of accounts wizard must also allow the user to maintain simultaneously many chart of accounts assigned to accounting periods and additionally the chart of accounts not assigned to any accounting period
