Historicity of resources

Comarch ALTUM system stores information about quantity of a given resource present in a warehouse on a given day. In other words the system has quantitative aggregates on a day when warehouse stock has changed. Historicity of resources is of great importance while issuing warehouse release documents.

Necessary condition to keep historicity of warehouse stocks correct is correct interpretation of document dates. Into consideration will be taken only dates on which resource was in fact receipted/released from warehouse, not the date of document. Therefore these are dates of release/sale/receipt/purchase, depending on document type.

As it can be seen on 2007-08-01 item was reserved using SI (SI was made with shortages, i.e. with resources which aren’t connected with any receipt subitems). The item is not physically present in warehouse, so there can’t be SOR document made on this day (SOR document can be made, but it has to have different release date). Only on 2007-08-12 item can be physically released, because on this day item receipt was registered using POR. The rest of documents can be analyzed in a similar way.

Up to this time in every place of the system resources are displayed on a given date (day). That’s why on tab Lots and Resources and on item and warehouse form there is date field displayed. Since this moment it’s necessary to select a date on which user wants to display warehouse stock. By default there is always current (system) date set.
