How to create a new sales invoice partially paid in cash and partially by bank transfer

Company sales items valued 3000 USD gross with postponed payment form: transfer. Customer at the moment of issuing pays 500 USD with cash. There is 2500 USD left to be paid with transfer. User has to:

1.     Issue sales invoice SI/000343/2003 (see scenario How to create a new sales invoice in the system currency)

a.     On payment plan payment with amount 3000 USD is created with current date and default payment form: cash

2.     Divide payment into two parts from the level of list of payments on SI and add two positions (see: Finances -> How to divide payment from the level of document)

a.     500 USD paid with cash while issuing invoice (with current date)

b.     2500 USD paid by transfer in 14 days

3.     Confirm the document from the level of its form or the list of invoices

4.     On the screen a window will appear with payment of 500 USD. If customer has money – the window should be accepted

5.     Because payment was executed – on the list of cash – bank operations operation confirming payment of 500 USD will appear automatically. Record will get status: settled.

6.     Because on the payment tab invoices’ amount was divided into two parts – on payment plan two payments will automatically appear:

a.     With number SI/000343/2003 for amount of 500 USD with status settled. Event is settled with cash – bank operation for the same amount (described in point 3)

b.     With the same number SI/000343/2003 for amount of 2500 USD with unsettled status

7.     After defined payment term, abstract of account confirming payment of 2500 USD is delivered. Payment should be entered (e.g. OP/000565/2003/BANK) with this amount to bank register

8.     Settle operation from bank register with payment SI/000343/2003. After settlement both have status: Settled
