How to define item discount

 

In order to define a new item discount user has to:

  1. Open list of discounts by selecting proper option (Sales -> Item Discounts)
  2. Click [Add] button from the List buttons group
  3. Define parameters of a discount:
    1. Activity date
    2. Discount type: value or percent
    3. For selected type enter value or percent

                                          i.    For value discount also define discount currency

  1. Discount type from predefined list

                                          i.    Depending on selected discount type define for whom and for what discount should be calculated, e.g. customer, customer group, item

                                         ii.    If a given object, e.g. customer or item hasn’t been defined yet, before its selection it should be defined

                                        iii.    For threshold discount thresholds should be additionally defined (see Granting item discounts)

    1. Discount calculation method
    2. Discount name – this field is optional, it’s possible to save discount without name
  2. save new price type by clicking [Save] from menu Discount
