Generating of sales quote from sales inquiry in tab Associated Documents
In order to generate a sales quote from a sales inquiry from the level of the Associated Documents tab, on the form of the selected inquiry, mark an appropriate document and click on the button [Generate SQ] in the menu. On the list of associated documents, you can find not only sales quotes generated from the sales inquiry but also purchase inquiries. Moreover, if a purchase quote was generated from the associated purchase inquiry, the number of that quote, its value and expected date will be presented in the row indicating the purchase inquiry. I means that if several purchase quotes were generated from the associated purchase inquiry, the record indicating the purchase inquiry will be duplicated. This way, it is possible to sort the documents by value or expected date and then select the most attractive purchase quote on the basis of which a sales quote can be generated to the current sales inquiry. The generated sales quote will contain only those items of the sales inquiry which are combined with items of purchase quote, thus the item of sales inquiry will be the item of the selected purchase quote.
If this is the case, the price can be also calculated on the basis of the currenct price list/promotions of a given customer or as a mark-up on purchase price from the purchase quote.
This option is available for a single purchase quote. If several quotes were indicated, the items of those quotes could refer to all the items of the sales inquiry, thus, it would be necessary to indicate a criterion according to which the purchase quotes would have to be selected. The optimization methods will be available from the level of the list of inquiries and the list of inquiry items, where the system itself will select the proper purchase quotes.
