Warehouse movements
One of basic features of Warehouse component is multi-warehousing. User can enter many local warehouses (within one database) and many distant warehouses (corresponding e.g. subsidiaries in other cities).
Warehouse movements are used to move items between two warehouses. An item and set is released from one warehouse and accepted to another. As a result of WM movement item is not available anymore at first warehouse (decreases its resources) and increases resources in the second warehouse. Also all data of moved resources is moved with them. On WM document user defines source warehouse – a warehouse from which item is released and target warehouse – a warehouse to which item is accepted.
Note: In warehouse movement only items can participate (services can’t be moved).
Comarch ALTUM system differs two types of warehouse movement documents: documents confirming transaction of item release from one warehouse (WM-), containing information about target warehouse, and its acceptance to another warehouse (WM+). Source document is always WM-, however WM+ is a derivative document and it arises only by generation from WM-. WM- document can exist independently, however WM+ is always connected with the source document, that is WM-.
Warehouse movement documents are warehouse documents so they don’t generate payments nor records in VAT accounts.
WM+ document is non-editable for user. On this document only date of issue can be changed, however the rest of the data is retrieved from the source WM- document. That’s why only WM- document is described in details in this manual.
List of WM documents
WM documents are present in two locations within the system. It results from the fact that WM- document release and WM+ accept an item. In connection with this, list of WM- is placed in release documents group and WM+ – in receipt documents group.
List of WM documents can be displayed from menu: Warehouse – WM- or WM+.
